Clinical Data & Scientific Studies

Why Cutting Fat Matters.
Clinical Data. Measurable Biologic Differences.
Not all mechanical adipose processing methods and devices produce the same biologic output. The Adinizer is a blade-based fat grafting system for creating size-controlled microfat, nanofat, and ASC-enriched preparations with less pressure and tissue trauma than conventional luer-to-luer processing.
Published clinical and laboratory data show how mechanical methods influence the final adipose preparation—from tissue architecture and cellular composition to graft retention and regenerative potential.

TOST || Total Stromal Cells
Concentrating the Signal. Preserving the Cells.
TOST— Total Stromal Cells—is a mechanically derived preparation obtained by further refining emulsified nanofat. A second centrifugation separates the tissue into layers, allowing clinicians to remove free oil and inflammatory cellular debris and select the fractions suited to their clinical objective.
This gives physicians a preparation for targeted delivery, cell-assisted lipotransfer (CAL), and biocellular applications—where the objective is to support cellular signaling or supplement a structural graft without adding unnecessary bulk.
A smaller volume for delivering the stromal components behind the signal.
Collecting the bottom two layers brings stromal tissue aggregates and the stromal cell fraction together in a smaller volume—creating a concentrated preparation for applications where cellular content matters more than adipose bulk.

Clinical Evidence: Comparative Biological Quality of Commercial Nanofat Systems
In the first comparison of commercial systems used to prepare nanofat published in Nature Scientific Reports (Arcani et al.), eight commercial devices were evaluated for technical performance and biological yield. The study demonstrated that biological quality differs significantly among products—with the Adinizer achieving the highest overall biological score, cell viability, and the highest percentage of adipose-derived stromal/stem cells (ASCs).
ARAT & MEST Study: New Mechanical Method
In the paper’s secretome and cell evaluation, the authors analyzed 11 cytokines and growth factors, including VEGF, FGF-2, TGF-β1, and PDGF. They found that processing fat with ultra-sharp blades preserved paracrine signaling, secretome profile, and metabolic function in both stromal vascular cells and adipose tissue, while avoiding the excessive friction and heat associated with blunt processing
-
Intact Adipocyte Architecture: Histological proof showing preserved cell architecture down to 200µm without enzymatic digestion.
-
Preserved Paracrine & Parenchymal Function: Secretome analysis confirmed that mechanical blade-sizing preserves metabolic activity, growth factor release (VEGF, FGF-2, TGF-β1), and cellular signaling without thermal or mechanical degradation.
-
High Viability Stromal Isolation (MEST): Yields viable stromal vascular cells with a mean cell viability of 93% and yields up to 88.88 × 10⁶.

Micronized cellular adipose matrix purified with a bladed connector contains abundant functional adipose stem cells
Sowa et al. Tissue and Cell doi.org/10.1016/j.tice.2024.102457
Sowa and colleagues compared Adinizer-prepared micronized cellular adipose matrix with adipose cells isolated by conventional enzymatic digestion. Using tissue from six donors, they tested cell recovery, viability, and the behavior of cells subsequently grown in culture.

Adinizer-Derived ASCs Demonstrated Greater Proliferation in Culture Mechanically derived ASCs showed greater growth by day 5 (p = 0.0292).
